Mompha subbistrigella (Haworth, 1828)

A rather common species in Belgium, known from 6 provinces.

The larva lives in a seedpod of Epilobium montanum. Pupation takes places amongst detritus on the ground.

The adults fly from September till June. They hibernate in thatch.
